Toboggan fun for the whole family

There are many toboggan runs to choose from in the Salzburger Land - from easy and shallow trails and slopes to exiting and adventurous routes.

Numerous toboggan runs range from easy, gentle descents to maximum exhilaration. Whether it’s day-time family fun or a moonlit descent for two, tobogganing is always a hit and fun is guaranteed!

Zell am See-Kaprun: Tobogganing fun for all ages

Several toboggan runs await you between Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe: for example, the 1.5 km long, floodlit toboggan run through the Schmittental behind Zell am See. A bus will take you to the starting point at Köhlergraben.

The Maisiflitzer alpine roller coaster

Accessed from the centre of Kaprun, the Maisiflitzer alpine roller coaster is an all year round attraction, regardless of weather. Take a seat in one of the many toboggans and once at the top, enjoy an exhilarating descent. This is a must for the whole family!

Tobogganing fun in Piesendorf/Neukirchen:

The floodlit toboggan run on the leisure mountain, Erlebnisberg, is the only toboggan run with safety nets from top to bottom. The sledges are specially designed with integrated brakes and a special mounting so that the drag lift can transport you to the top (NB. Minimum children’s height for transport by lift: 140 cm).

Tobogganing in Saalbach-Hinterglemm:

The toboggan run at Reiterkogel is over 3 km long and illuminated until 23.00. Either use the cable car with a valid ski pass for free, or purchase a one-way ticket.

An alternative toboggan run is located at the Spielberghaus. Take a comfortable forty-five minute walk to the start of the 3 km long run or take a ride up from the Spielbergkurve in Saalbach.

There is also a toboggan run, 2 km long, on the Maisalm, only a 25-minute walk from Saalbach’s village square.

Tobogganing in Maria Alm, Mühlbach and Dienten:

A total of 6 toboggan runs (900 m to 4.5 km long!) provide toboggan fun for all, from our smallest guests to those seeking thrills and spills:

  • Maria Alm: the Jufen and Kronreith toboggan runs
  • Dienten: the Grünegg toboggan run
  • Mühlbach: Reith-Gut, Pauss Bauer and Kopphütte toboggan runs

Neukirchen & Bramberg:

Neukirchen & Bramberg:

At 14 km in length, the toboggan run in the Wildkogel-Arena is the longest toboggan run in the world, dropping 1,300 m in altitude from the Wildkogel to Bramberg.
